Verify the account
Before verifying your account, please prepare the following:
There are 2 ways to submit your account verification:
By tapping on the "Verify now" button on your PowerTrade app's home screen.
OR by tapping on the Profile icon (top-right corner), go to Settings, and then tap on Account Verification.
You will then be presented with this screen:
Tap on "Start Now".
Our account verification flow's default language is English. If you prefer a different language, you may select from various languages under the dropdown menu. Otherwise, tap on the "Begin verifying" button.
From the dropdown menu, choose the country where your proof of ID/government ID is from and tap on the "Select" button.
Choose the type of your proof of ID document. The types of proof of ID documents we can accept varies by country.
The photo ID page of an International passport is the document that's most likely to meet our POI document requirements. Certain countries' National ID Cards, Residence cards, Driver's Licenses, and other IDs also work, but only if they meet our requirements.
In this example, we will select Passport as proof of ID.
You may tap on the camera icon to take a photo of your physical ID document via the PowerTrade's camera app OR tap the "Upload a photo" button to upload your ID photo from your mobile device's storage.

Ensure that your ID photo is inside the box and that no part of the ID document exceeds the dotted border. The app should automatically capture the image once it detects your ID document. Alternatively, you may also tap the "Take photo" button to capture the image.
Double check your ID photo and ensure that it is in focus, depicts all the personal details legibly, and shows all four corners of the document. If you are satisfied with the photo, tap on the "Use this photo" button. Otherwise, you may retake the photo by tapping the "Retake photo" button.
Important note: If the app detects that the quality of your ID photo is unacceptable, you will be notified on the next screen and will be prompted to retake your ID photo or upload your ID photo once more.
You may tap on the camera icon to take a photo of your proof of residency document via the PowerTrade's camera app OR tap the "Upload a photo" button to upload a copy of proof of residency document (JPEG or PDF format) from your mobile device's storage.
In this example, we will tap on the camera icon to take a photo of the proof of residency document via PowerTrade's camera app.
Tap on the "Take photo" button to capture the image.
Once you have successfully submitted all the required documents for account verification, you'll be presented with this screen. You'll also receive an email notification confirming that your submission is awaiting review. Tap "Done" to go back to your app's home screen.
If your submission gets rejected, you will be notified via email.
To resubmit your account verification, tap on the "Verify now" button on your PowerTrade app's home screen and follow the same steps as listed above to resubmit.
